Flower Waters
A hydrolat, or flower water, is the water that is collected when plants are distilled to make an essential oil and is produced as a natural by-product of the steam distillation.
These natural waters are valuable therapeutic materials in their own right and can be used along side essential oils, or in place of them, in cosmetic application and for treating skin disorders.
Flower waters can be applied to the skin direct and have been used in skincare and perfumery for centuries. Because of their gentleness flower waters are particularly well suited to use for children.
